The corners present tight radii that demand high localized compression, whereas the long straight walls require uniform holding forces to prevent bowing.
Traditional single-point hot-air blowers cause uneven heat concentration on oval paper blanks. HQ Machinery's systems utilize segmented, PLC-controlled heating channels. The straight segments and curved corners are heated at precise, independent temperatures, ensuring the PE or PLA barrier layers soften uniformly without scorching the raw fibers.
Our FCM200 Non-Round Container Forming Machine relies on a multi-axis servo drive system. Instead of constant speed indexers, the mold rotation slows down slightly at the tight radii to allow adequate dwell time for ultrasonic welding, then accelerates on the straight flats to maintain high production throughput.
